Garlic Bread Club x Retro Fundraiser

On Friday 20th June GBC will be hosting a fundraising gig for the iconic venue Retro Bar with UTB.
From this Summer this wonderful venue will be turned to rubble and redeveloped by Bruntwood SciTech and Manchester University.
In hosting this fundraiser we aim to contribute all profits made to help this amazing team set up elsewhere in Manchester and to carry on the amazing work they do in supporting the DIY/grassroots music scene, as they have done the past 35 years.
It is truly saddening that a venue with such a rich history in its he Manchester music scene should be erased. Known as the official birth place of The Chemical brothers, as well as helping Frank Turner, The XX and Everything Everything in their early careers.
From a personal standpoint Retro has been the home of Garlic Bread Club since my first gig in September 2019. The team at Retro have become part of the GBC family.
This is the first announcement for bands. We will have 1-2 more to announce later.
Come and join GBC for our last ever gig at this venue, let’s fill Retros basement and show our support.
